Go-Gently Equine Support Services is a developing practice dedicated to supporting horses and the humans who care for them through gentle, ethical, relationship‑centred approaches. I am currently studying Equine Sports Massage and building my skills to offer compassionate, evidence‑informed support that honours the wellbeing and individuality of every horse.
My work is grounded in patience, curiosity, and respect for the horse’s experience. I believe in meeting each horse where they are, listening to what they communicate, and supporting them in ways that feel safe, kind, and effective.
A core part of the Go-Gently ethos is always learning — continually expanding my knowledge, refining my hands‑on skills, and staying open to new understanding so I can offer the best possible care as I grow in this field.
“Every horse deserves to feel safe, respected — and truly understood.”
What’s my Why?
Simba and Cindy — were meant to be my way back into riding after turning 40 and raising kids. Instead, both were diagnosed with back issues that meant they could no longer be ridden. What began as a setback slowly became a turning point.
They are still with me, still deeply loved, and will stay with me for the rest of their days. Caring for them changed the direction of my life.
I’ve always been a do‑er, and when riding was no longer part of my future, I poured that energy into learning everything I could about horses and their bodies. Understanding their language, noticing, observing and helping them feel comfortable has become my passion — one that feels even more meaningful than riding ever did.
Whether your horse is competing, in light work, or simply living a peaceful paddock life, thoughtful bodywork can support comfort, ease, and wellbeing.
And honestly… who doesn’t enjoy a good massage!
Go Gently……..
Go‑Gently is more than a name, it’s the foundation of everything I do.
Go slowly enough to notice. Horses speak in subtle shifts; gentleness allows us to hear them.
Go softly enough to be trusted. A horse’s nervous system responds to calm, consistent handling.
Go clearly enough to be understood. Keep communication clear, kind, and honest.
Go kindly enough to honour the horse in front of you. Every horse deserves to feel safe, respected, and comfortable in their body.
Go‑Gently is a reminder that meaningful change happens when we meet the horse exactly where they are — not where we wish they were, and not where they used to be. Just here, just now, being soft. Being gentle. Go-Gently.
